A MATTER OF TRUST~YOU CAN'T TRUST THE GOVERNMENT ANYMORE OR ANY COMPANIES !

READ THE ARICLE BELOW..
AND I SAID ....
Thank you for your honesty in writng this article. You are right about all you said in your article. Very seldom do I read anything ABC publishes and I certainly do not watch any ABC news on TV anymore.
As you said trust is an important thing. I understand why newspapers are no longer read anymore.
I do not read them myself nor do I buy them anymore. Only my local neighborhood papers and sometimes you have extrmeist writng in those papers too!
I too have been a victim of Comcast being down while I am in the middle of doing stuff on the net. The TV being out does not bother me half as much as my interent cable being out. LOL I too never gave up my lnad line. I had comcast pitch to me the thing about their phone service. Tried it and gave it back to them before they came out with their new phone serivce. Don't trust any of thier phone services. I told them Thanks, but no thanks !
I always call and make them give me credit for a days service !
Our government now days has been taken over by a bunch of radical sheep.
Yes people have a huge distrust in government and RIGHTLY SO !
I TRUST NO ONE IN OUR GOVERNMENT ! NOT ONE PERSON. They have been glorified mobsters and are not afraid to let you know how they stand. And...if you don't like it that is your problem.
How we are going to get out of this mess I have no clue, but as an American I know we will endure. We always have managed, somehow, someway.
Thanks again for your column today. Keep up the good work.
GOD BLESS AMERICA !

A Matter of Trust
In a Growing Marketplace, Maintaining Customer Trust Is Important
COLUMN By MICHAEL S. MALONE WITH ABC NEWS

I'm writing this column from table No. 3 at Peet's Coffee in Cupertino, Calif.

Why am I here, instead of working from my own home office two miles away? Therein lies a story.

Simply put, my Comcast cable service crashed Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. That not only means my Internet access is down on all five of our family computers, but my cable television is down, as well. In fact, the only service still working in our house is the landline phone, and that's only because, when Comcast offered that service, as well, my wife replied, "I don't trust you people not to screw that up, as well. I need something in this house I can depend on to work right."

And, in fact, she used that phone to call Comcast to report the outage. And I took off for Peet's to file this column.

How annoyed I am at this loss of service, a service I depend upon to make my living? A little bit less than load-the-Winchester angry, but a whole lot more than kids-having-a-drunken-party-next-door pissed off. The cable TV I can live without -- although it makes the kids a little more bored and truculent than usual -- but that's because I spend more time these days on the Internet than television.

But the loss of my wireless router and, thus, my Internet connection, has got me wandering about in a Lear-like confused rage. This is my livelihood, my entertainment, my connection to the bigger world. I can't get my e-mail, I can't research my story, I can't find out what's going on out there.

OK, but I'm actually angrier than the loss of those things would predict. After all, I can go into any Starbucks, Peet's, or even Mickey D's these days and find a wireless hot spot. And Comcast promises to come out today -- hey, thanks! -- to find out what's wrong.

No, I think the real source of my anger is what can best be described as a betrayal of trust. There is no greater source of anger in this world than just that sort of violation. Open the newspaper or turn on the news (as if I could right now) on any given day and probably half of the stories involve just such a betrayal: adultery, breaches of contract, anger at politicians, blown drug deals, embezzlement, child molestations, angry consumers, etc., etc. Seen from this perspective, it sometimes seems that almost every form of human friction devolves into some kind of betrayal of perceived trust.

What is surprising about this is that, despite the fact that we live in a largely scientific, empirical world -- one in which natural scientists, sociologists and economists have come up with yardsticks and equations to measure and quantify almost every kind of human behavior -- we really have no common and accepted measure for trust. And, it follows, because we lack that measure, we have no precise way of knowing when that trust changes, when it fails, or what the consequences will be of that failure.

Michael Malone: Don't Know the Value of Anything
Not that there haven't been attempts. A few years back, I wrote a book with the Swedish economist, Leif Edvinsson, entitled "Intellectual Capital." The impetus for the book was the growing realization in the business and financial communities that we really had no idea what anything was worth anymore. That is to say, we had all of the traditional accounting measures: inventories, capital equipment, etc. But the gap between that sum and what the stock market seemed to believe the company was actually worth was growing by the day. For example, how could Intel, which at the time had about $20 billion in revenues, be worth more than the entire U.S. automobile industry?

In fact, the only accounting entry that seemed to be stretching to encompass these changes was that little item called "goodwill," traditionally a kind of mulligan to cover the difference between the book value and sale price of traditional companies. But, nowadays, such goodwill might be three times the book value of the firm, meaning if we were willing to admit it, that we really don't know the value of anything anymore. [That's even more true now than it was then, which helps explain the increasing volatility of the world economy.]

Edvinsson and I (along with a number of other folks working with the same idea at the same time) set out to find real measures and real numbers for these other "intangible" assets, a company's hidden "intellectual" capital.

In the end, we came up with a whole bunch of different measures, from executive turnover to the number of patent filings to customer satisfaction ratings. Other folks came up with other measurement schemes. Some worked pretty well, others less so. A few of the measures have been unofficially adopted by companies and industry analysts, although none yet officially so.

Someday, I suspect that intangible asset measures will be an accepted part of all balance sheets. But it won't happen anytime soon.

Looking back, if there is one part of our research I would have emphasized a whole lot more, and would have tried harder to quantify, it is the matter of Trust. Writing at about the same time, in his book of that name, political scientist Francis Fukuyama got it right: Trust is the single most valuable currency of the modern global economy, the maker and breaker of nations.

Everywhere you look, the question of trust is defining winners and losers in the Internet age. Why are newspapers dying? Not just because technology passed them by, but because they violated readers' trust that they would deliver timely, accurate and unbiased news. Why is Apple Computer so successful? Because it has upheld its customers trust that Steve Jobs will continue to give them interesting, innovative and "cool" products. Why have a handful of bloggers earned huge audiences, while millions of others have not? Because we trust those few to either consistently entertain us, or we trust their judgment in selecting interesting items for us to read, or we trust that their world view is just like our own and their ability to enunciate those views even better. Why is the xBox 360, a superior game player, falling behind Nintendo and Sony? Because gamers don't trust Microsoft to continue delivering the best games.

But it is even more complicated than that because Trust is not just a static characteristic, it also changes. A company that delivers a highly trusted product or service can suddenly find that it is losing that trust because the underlying technology has moved on and left it behind. If your customers expect you to be state-of-the-art in performance, quality or price, anything less is a betrayal of their trust.

Michael Malone: A Matter of Trust
Success, too, can lead to a betrayal of Trust. So can an evolution in customers. In the tech world, the most famous example is that of the scandal that nearly killed Intel Corp.: the software bug in the Pentium microprocessor chip. There had always been bugs in processors, but because most of the people using the early microprocessors were scientists and engineers, they expected them, worked around them, and waited for Intel or Motorola to send them fixes. But with Pentium, and the transformative marketing campaign that surrounded it -- "Intel Inside" -- Intel now found itself with a gigantic customer base of everyday consumers ... people for whom such a bug was a catastrophe, a betrayal of trust by the company, and a source of real fear by unsophisticated users. Intel initially dismissed the growing controversy -- and, then, in a move that may have saved the company, reversed itself and agreed to replace all of the faulty chips.

As the world grows more complex, the marketplace expands to encompass billions, and the stakes go ever higher -- so does the importance of Trust. And nowhere is the burden of trust greater than when we enter into a relationship that requires us to abandon all alternatives. Because Trust can never be perfect, it always helps to know that if that Trust begins to falter, we have someplace else to go, an escape hatch.

This human need, I suspect, is what underlies the angry response right now to the Obama administration's health care plan. Progressives and other social engineers always make the same mistake: They find what they believe is the One Best Way, the empirically most efficient, reasonable and fair process, and then seek to impose it on the entire population as the Right Thing To Do. What they inevitably fail to appreciate (because they are Utopians) is that they are demanding from the populace almost infinite Trust -- in matters of life and death, something most sensible adults will, wisely, never give -- while at the same time stripping away every other alternative. This is guaranteed to create fear, a sense of helplessness ... and ultimately, anger.

In a smaller way, that same impulse helps to explain my anger at Comcast right now. I entered into the agreement trusting that the cable company would provide me with reliable service.

In the meantime, as long as I'm trapped and helpless, I think I'll have a latte.

HEY LABOR UNIONS:TAKE YOUR CARD CHECK AND SHOVE IT ! YOU SCUMBAGS !

The labor movement is taking aim at Wall Street with a new tool in its fight to pass the Employee Free Choice Act.

Labor pushes Wall St. on card check

The labor movement is taking square aim at Wall Street with a new tool in its fight to pass the Employee Free Choice Act: the hundreds of billions of dollars in pension funds it manages for union workers and retirees, some of it held by the same firms that are fighting the provision known as "card check."

"Has your company made any public statements in support or opposition to EFCA?" asks one of nine pointed questions in a polite, detailed four-page questionnaire.

"If 'Yes,' please explain."

The detailed questionnaire has three parts. The first asks about fund managers' public positions, lobbying and political contributions. The second asks managers to "disclose any relationships during the past five years between your company and any organization(s) opposing the passage" of EFCA. The form lists 14 organizations, from anti-EFCA organizations like the Workforce Fairness Institute to trade groups that oppose it, like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Roundtable.

A third passage asked whether other any trade association to which the fund managers belong has taken a position on the bill.

While the survey assures managers that it doesn't intend to impose "requirements or limitations" on their political activity, a cover letter from Teamsters union leaders tells another story: The leaders are concerned, according to a copy of the local's letter obtained by POLITICO, that Wall Street is "undermining the interests" of union retirees.

The letter, from the two top officials of Teamsters Local 507 in Cleveland, Albert Mixon and Carl Pecoraro, who are also trustees of the union's health, welfare and pension funds, says some pension fund managers "are undermining the interests" of the union:

Munroe said the letter from Cleveland Teamsters leaders that POLITICO obtained was part of an effort spanning the entire Change to Win federation, which includes SEIU and five other major unions. (A Change to Win spokeswoman didn't respond to questions about the campaign.)

Another labor official said the AFL-CIO, the largest labor federation, is set to ask its own pointed questions of money managers soon.

Munroe said the survey was inspired by the decision by the Financial Services Roundtable, a leading industry group, to lobby against the Free Choice Act. Another section of the questionnaire asks companies if they have any ties to a set of trade organizations and advocacy groups, including the Roundtable.

"We're happy to openly debate the merits of any issue," said a top lobbyist for the Roundtable, Scott Talbott. "What's not up for debate is our Constitutional right to petition our government.

The EFCA, which has so far failed to find the 60 votes it needs to clear cloture in the Senate, would allow unions to recruit workers by signing cards as an alternative to voting with a secret ballot. The bill could also force employers into binding arbitration in contract negotiations.

"In the coming weeks, we will be rolling out initiatives from shareholders, investment groups and businesses in support of the Employee Free Choice Act," said AFL spokesman Eddie Vale, who declined to discuss targeting Wall Street. "This issue isn't just about workers; it's about fixing our economy and growing the middle class."

Financial industry officials took a darker view of the survey. "The fact that union bosses would try and shake down financial institutions by asking that they disclose information" about the bill "is beyond outrageous," said an aide to one trade organization, who – like other industry officials rattled by the letters – refused to speak on the record. He also called it "troubling that Big Labor would use their pension plans as the bargaining chip."

Unions and other large institutions, like universities, have long selectively used board seats and investment positions to advance causes from shareholder rights to democracy in South Africa and human rights in Sudan. Less common is for the institutions to target the behavior of their own money managers.

So far, it's not clear than any of the unions have pulled their pension funds from firms supporting EFCA, or are close to doing so. But it's also clear the threat -- implied but not made explicit in the letters -- has gotten the attention of the firms, who fear that's the next step. So far, there's no sign of firms backing out of the card-check fight because of the survey.

Labor backers have nonetheless cheered the new tactic in the no-holds-barred fight for EFCA.

"It's entirely appropriate for the labor movement to say, basically, 'Look, if you are working to kill our No. 1 legislative priority, we're not going to help you make a buck by profiting from our investments, investments that come from the hard-earned money of union members,'" said Jonathan Tasini, the executive director of the pro-union Labor Research Association.

Obama's Finals Week: The World Laughs at His 100 Days of Failure

RUSH'S TAKE ON OBAMA'S FIRST 100 DISGRACEFUL DAYS...

We're coming up on this mythical 100 days of the Obama administration. I'd like to refer to it, my friends, as "finals week," and I put together a list of things that I have noted since the outset of this administration. Just today, I think you'd have to say Obama's failing, because Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has just ripped him a new one; and his buddy, Fidel Castro, just called him superficial. I mean, now, this cannot be good. The next thing you know Hugo Chavez will come out with some criticism here. After all of these worldwide tours to get all of these dictators and thugs on our side, they are being highly critical of the Bamster.

Also, ladies and gentlemen, the interrogation memos. It is amazing what is coming out about this. We're going to get into that in detail as the program unfolds before your very eyes and ears, but I have to tell you something. I've heard more than one person say -- because Obama changed his mind on this. Originally he said, "We can't keep looking to the past. We've gotta look to the future here. So I don't think it would serve any purpose to prosecute or investigate former administration officials on these interrogations the CIA did." All of a sudden he changes his mind yesterday. I'm hearing a lot of people say, "He must be buckling to pressure from his left wing. He must be buckling to pressure from people reminding him of a campaign promise." He's not buckling to anything but his own desires! Folks, this is part and parcel of, "Obama doesn't know what he's doing. He doesn't know all this that's happening in his administration. He's such a wonderful guy! He doesn't know about all of this." Well, he's orchestrating all of this. As he himself said: he's the visionary. He's setting the tone. The Canadians... Did you hear Janet Napolitano the other day? Janet Napolitano -- this is a rumor that has been debunked years ago. Janet Napolitano said the 9/11 hijackers actually got into our country through Canada.

So now the Canadians are up in arms and the National Post in Canada today has a piece asking how in the hell did this woman get her job? Earlier this week she says it's not a crime to illegally enter the country, cross the border, when it is. She's a ditz. She's a total hick, hack, left-wing kook that is now in charge of Homeland Security -- and she's there because who chose her? Obama! I mean, you Obama people cannot have it both ways. You cannot say this guy is something brand-new and fresh like we've never had before, and he's so smart, and he's so in control, he's so in touch. And then say he has no clue what's going on in his own administration, or that he's being pressured and he's buckling to pressure. What was funny about the interrogation memo flip-flop was when he talked about allowing Holder... If this happens -- we keep talking about overreaching. If this happens, if Eric Holder -- and he could very well do this -- does instigate investigations or let Conyers do it over in the House or somebody start investigating former Bush administration officials, if they subpoena them, and if these guys have to go out and get lawyers, let me tell you something. If this happens, they don't care whether they get a conviction or not. It won't be about that.

It'll be about destroying these people a la Scooter Libby. It will be about destroying and criminalizing policy circumstances with which you disagree. Here you've got these lawyers, who the administration consulted, and they consulted, by the way, the Bush administration did, all over the world, with various nations on interrogation techniques of terrorists, because it's a new kind of prisoner, and Congress signed off on all of it. Nancy Pelosi, they all signed off on all of this in 2002. And in fact, when they were explained waterboarding and all this, nobody in Congress objected, they said you've gotta do more. So if Holder proceeds with this, he's going to have to send out subpoenas not just to the executive branch, he's going to have to send out subpoenas to the lawyers, the White House counsel and anybody else who had anything to do with this. And once that happens, you're gonna see the earth move because nobody's going to go work for the executive branch ever again.

If this precedent is set where you can go back and criminalize the policy disagreements you have with previous administrations that could be the point everybody's hoping that is going to happen, overreach. I, frankly, think we've had a hundred overreaches. I'm going to go through them here in just a second. But nevertheless, that could be something that will awaken a lot of people who still appear to be dormant. So it's stunning to watch this and it's kind of funny yesterday because after Obama flip-flopped there in the Oval Office, he had this photo-op with the king of Jordan, King Abdullah, and that's where, in answer to a reporter's question, he said, (paraphrasing) "You know what, I'm gonna let Holder go ahead and do what he wants to do. If he wants to investigate these people in the Bush administration, fine and dandy." Well, at the afternoon press briefing yesterday, poor old Gibbs, who on a good day is incompetent, poor old Gibbs was -- it's like the White House press office was just blindsided by this. They sent poor old Gibbs out there, and he didn't really have any intelligent, credible answers to why the flip-flop and so forth 'cause of course he's gotta protect Obama.

The director of communications in the White House, not a spokeswoman, but the director of communications, she quit. She resigned the White House. They've reassigned her to some other agency. She went over to Commerce committee, whatever, Commerce department. She was the only one that was not part of the campaign. She's the only one that hadn't drunk the Kool-Aid. And then you've got the suicide today of the CFO over at Freddie Mac. The homicide detectives are on the scene now, the wife phoned in at 4:48 this morning, the cops arrive, said looked like no foul play, looked like it was a suicide, but they've got to investigate. Ellen Moran was the White House communications director, outta there, quit. Now, we don't want to assume what's going on here, but she was the only one that hadn't drunk the Kool-Aid. I chronicle all this stuff and I'm in 100% disbelief.

I'm going to go through the finals week for Obama here, I don't know when the first 100 days is. It's 90, a hundred days after January 20th. But, regardless, this is an incredible list of things that I've been thinking about, and I've been taking notes, and I've been putting them all down. And when I go through all this, at the end of it, all of this is being spun as productive and historic, and it's nothing but buffoonery. It's embarrassing incompetence and inexperience

Finals week, Barack Obama approaching a hundred days. Now, they say this has been a historically productive 100 days. I have just put a list here together in no particular order, just off the top of my head, of the things in this administration that have stood out to me since it began. Admiral Blair -- this is all over the New York Times today -- Admiral Blair admitting the CIA received high value, lifesaving information from terrorists, while President Obama is condemning the same interrogations as immoral and counterproductive. President Obama is throwing and has thrown grand White House parties with Kobe beef, a hundred bucks a pound, while telling the nation to cut back in order to survive the greatest economic downturn supposedly since the Great Depression, bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia, listening patiently and respectfully while a two-bit dictator lectures Obama -- it was Daniel Ortega -- with false charges for 50 minutes about the criminal country he leads, and Obama doesn't say one word to object, one word in disagreement, does not stand up for his country at one point during the Summit of the Americas.

He has run around the world and apologized for the greatest, the most compassionate, the most innovative and freedom-loving country in world history. Now we've got Fidel Castro setting Obama straight about how Cuba handles political prisoners and its economy. Fidel Castro, one of Obama's idols, calling him superficial. We had the nomination of tax cheats to his cabinet, including the man who oversees the IRS, five tax cheats in the Obama administration. We have Obama's joke of a press spokesman, who makes a complete idiot of himself on a daily basis. He sends back a symbol of freedom, that bust of Sir Winston Churchill to Great Britain just after moving into the White House. He wants nothing to do with it. He did of his own volition. They said you can keep it. He said no, we don't want it here. They said put it in a different room in the White House. We don't want it here, and sent it back to the British embassy. It was given to us, President Bush, after 9/11, by the Brits. He insulted the prime minister of England, the queen of England, with embarrassing, thoughtless gifts.

We have the French president Sarkozy ridiculing Obama's messianic complex, inviting him to walk on water at Normandy beach. We have Iran taking a hostage, an American journalist, as Obama promises better relations. We have North Korea humiliating Obama with their missile launch. We have Obama putting the country in debt for generations to come while promising fiscal responsibility, offering up laughable budget cuts, banning lobbyists from his administration, while appointing them left and right. Openly lying that Caterpillar would hire up with the passage of his stimulus bill, then watching while that company lays off thousands after the stimulus bill passes. He pledges to close the prison at Guantanamo Bay where I have a thriving merchandise business. But then he keeps it open with no plan for its future. Proclaiming total transparency, while keeping secret who got the TARP funds, when, where, why. Being incapable of communicating without a teleprompter, while the press declares him a Reaganesque, Great Communicator.

He attacks a private citizen broadcaster from the White House as part of an orchestrated plan to distract the country from legislation and policies we don't want, which thus touched off a political firestorm, all of this while claiming to be a unifier. He makes a ham-handed attempt to nationalize the banks preventing financial institutions from paying back TARP money they don't need or want. We got a column today in the Wall Street Journal by Holman Jenkins that General Motors is a debacle; it is an absolute debacle and mess, and soon Wall Street is going to be the same thing. He has made bad situations worse with car manufacturers, and the worst is yet to come. He has sparked hundreds of protests involving hundreds of thousands of Americans at tea parties regarding irresponsible government spending while his Homeland Security chief labels peacefully demonstrating Americans and veterans as security risks. Now, that's just the things I could think up the top of my head. Oh, yeah, moving the census over to the Commerce department to politicize that. I mean, this administration has been one part joke, one part unbelievable, and many parts scary. Because while all this has gone on, this man is reported upon and reported to be the best president we've ever had, a shining light, a beacon, historical figure.

We have a sycophantic mainstream media in this country. How about the New York Times. The New York Times, $34 million in cash. The New York Times is in debt $1.3 billion. By the way, this is cool, folks. The New York Times' corporate president and CEO, Janet Robinson, received a compensation package valued at $5.58 million last year while the publisher of the New York Times, Arthur Sulzberger Jr. received a total of $2.4 million while this company is losing its shirt. Does that not sound a little bit like Wall Street? Does this not sound like excessive bonuses? Does this sound like CEOs paying them when the performance of their company is in the sewer? And haven't we demonized private sector CEOs for this very thing? Oh, and that is another one: making enemies out of people in the private sector and ginning up protests by his ACORN buddies at the homes of AIG executives, fomenting class hatred and rivalry.

The list goes on of the egregious things this administration's done. His House organ, the New York Times, $1.3 billion in debt, $34 million in cash on hand. They borrowed some money from some guy named Slim down in Mexico, and he's charged them 18% interest. And now Hillary Clinton's out there saying US is laying groundwork for tough, crippling sanctions on Iran if Iran rejects engagement. Iran says, "We'll talk, but we're not doing anything about our nuclear program." I mean the world is making a joke, the world is making a joke of our country, and the president is being praised for it!

Here are details on the reprimands. You might say the teachers are trying to educate the student, Fidel Castro commenting on Barack Obama. Castro rejects President Obama's suggestions that Cuba should free political prisoners or cut taxes on remittances from the United States. Fidel Castro on a blog, no less, said that Obama "misinterpreted remarks by his brother and successor Raul and bristled at the suggestion that Cuba should free political prisoners or cut taxes on remittances from abroad as a goodwill gesture to the United States." All of this enraged Castro, who wrote in an essay posted on a government website that Obama, without a doubt, misinterpreted Raul's declarations. "Castro appeared to be throwing a dose of cold water on growing expectations for improved bilateral relations -- suggesting Obama had no right to dare suggest that Cuba make even small concessions. He also seemed to suggest too much was being made of Raul's comments about discussing 'everything' with US authorities."

Castro: "Affirming that the president of Cuba is ready to discuss any topic with the president of the United States expresses that he's not afraid ... It's a sign of bravery and confidence in the principles of the revolution." Now, there's a hidden little secret here that everybody with a half a brain knows about the Castros. The last thing they want is an open relationship with the United States. The last thing they want is the blockade to come down. That's what Fidel's always called the embargo. He tells Cuban citizens that there are Navy ships out there preventing goods, he calls it a blockade. So here comes our naive young boy president down there, (paraphrasing) "We're going to open up, we're going to have this new dialogue, we're going to send you some money, we're going to send some more people down there, you ought to free some political prisoners," and Castro bristles at the naivete of his student, Barack Obama. It's the last thing they want. You understand that the US embargo is what gives the Castro brothers and the Cuban government the ammo to tell their citizens what a rotten economy they have and what a rotten life they all have, even though it's the best damn health care in the freaking world, according to the stupid idiots in the American left.

The last thing they want is the embargo lifted. "The ex-president had previously expressed his admiration for Obama, but this time Castro blasted the new US president for showing signs of 'superficiality.'" Whoa-ho! Well, I mean, here's Castro the teacher, Castro the professor, he can see the weaknesses in the student far more than American leftists can see the weakness, superficiality. I mean Castro's got it. And let's go to another teacher, another professor, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad today criticized Obama's boycott of a United Nations racism conference, dubbing it unhelpful. "On Monday, The International Racism Conference in Geneva, which the US boycotted --" now, by the way, I think we did the right thing not to go to this thing, don't misunderstand, we did the right thing, but Ahmadinejad is somebody that Obama wants to talk to and Hillary Clinton says today we're going to put really tough sanctions on them. Hardy-har-har.

So Ahmadinejad's all upset we didn't go to the racism conference, lecturing his student, Barack Obama. Obama, the US, right not to go to this thing. The whole thing was a fiasco, but Ahmadinejad is considered one of our grave threats and enemies with his nuke program, and Obama says that he's going to forge a new relationship out there with them, and all we have to do is talk to them, and all we have to do is show 'em we mean 'em no harm. Such naivete, the ugliness, the hypocrisy of President Obama's morality plays. This guy is very cold, folks. He is a 100% pure leftist extremist political animal. I have a difficult time putting up with him lecturing us, the United States of America, on matters he identifies as requiring the pushing of a morality reset button with him as the chief protocol director of morality.

According to Obama, our response, after being attacked on 9/11, was immoral. Of all the people, of all things, Barack Obama should be the last person to lecture anybody standing atop a rock of morality. His foundation is leftist. He identifies with anti-American politics. He laughs, he yucks it up with these people who hate our country. He's been masterful at deceiving a large number of Americans with the help of his friends in the Drive-By Media. Look at who Obama has accused of being morally deficient: Wall Street, all CEOs, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, the CIA, and essentially America itself. He has declared those five things morally deficient. And only now will Wall Street and CEOs, Bush and Cheney, CIA, and even America be straightened out with a new moral rudder headed by himself, The One, The Messiah, Barack Obama, the Most Merciful. Yet he supports infanticide. He attended a racist, bigoted church for 20 years. He had active support of the criminal political bullying enterprise known as ACORN. He has dealings with Tony Rezko, his working relationship with Bill Ayers, embracing and smiling Hugo Chavez, Daniel Ortega, and not defending his country after it was slandered, this guy tells us he's in charge of our new morality. Sorry, folks, it's just tough to stomach. Tough to deal with on a daily basis.

Support our Soldiers who die to keep us free.

A mother asked this President... 'Why did my son have to die in Iraq ?'

A mother asked this President.. 'Why did my son have to die in Saudi Arabia ?'

A mother asked this President... 'Why did my son have to die in Kuwait ?'

Another mother asked this President... 'Why did my son have to die in Vietnam ?'

Another mother asked this President... 'Why did my son have to die in Korea ?'

Another mother asked this President... 'Why did my son have to die on Iwo Jima ?'

Another mother asked President... 'Why did my son have to die on a battlefield in France ?'

Yet another mother asked President... 'Why did my son have to die at Gettysburg ?'

And yet another mother asked President... 'Why did my son have to die on a frozen field near Valley Forge ?'

Then long, long ago, a mother asked..

'Heavenly Father .. why did my Son have to die on a cross outside of Jerusalem ?'

The answer is always the same... 'So that others may live and dwell in peace, happiness, and freedom.'

This was emailed to me with no author. I thought the magnitude and the simplicity were awesome.

If you are not willing to stand BEHIND our troops,

Please, please feel free to stand in front of them....

Rush to the President: Debate Me
March 4, 2009
Listen To It! WMP RealPlayer Audio clips available for Rush 24/7 members only -- Join Now!BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: It is on the record -- thanks to Politico.com -- since last fall, the White House, led by Rahm Emanuel, the chief of staff to Barack Obama, has been targeting me, your host, your harmless, lovable little fuzzball. Their standard operating procedure: they need a demon to distract and divert from what their agenda is. They need a demon about whom they can lie so as to persuade average Americans that they're the good guys, the benevolent good guys, and the mean SOBs are their enemies trying to stop this great young little president from doing miraculous and wonderful things.
Here is a new ad that this union bunch is running in Washington, DC, ladies and gentlemen. And, of course, it's been picked up all over the Web. You guys, if you haven't done so, you gotta go to RushLimbaugh.com. The DNCC, whatever it is, they have a questionnaire up there. It's hilarious. I have to give 'em credit. You can see it right now at RushLimbaugh.com. It is a form letter where any Republican can send a note of apology to me. The note is an apology note to me, and you can fill in your name and the reason you're apologizing. It is funny. I had to laugh when I saw it last night. I instructed Koko, just put it up there, 'cause it's hilarious. It's as good as the old Saturday Night Live stuff back when Saturday Night Live was actually funny. But there's a new ad targeted at your lovable, harmless little fuzzball host from that union bunch. It starts today in Washington, DC, which means it's going to be all over the cable networks pretty soon.
ANNOUNCER: Who is the leader Republicans hailed as a hero last weekend? Was it Sarah Palin?
PALIN: Nope, nope, nope.
ANNOUNCER: Bobby Jindal?
JINDAL: No, no, no.
ANNOUNCER: Michael Steele?
STEELE: No, no, no.
ANNOUNCER: Mitch McConnell?
MCCONNELL: No, no, no.
ANNOUNCER: Then who? Not Rush Limbaugh?
RUSH ARCHIVE: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
ANNOUNCER: Call the Republican leadership. Tell them to just say "no" to the politics of Rush Limbaugh.
RUSH ARCHIVE: I hope he fails.
ANNOUNCER: Paid for by Americans United for Change.
RUSH: That's the union bunch. Can you just see...? (laughing) "Call the Republican leadership and say no to Limbaugh." (laughing) Now, ladies and gentlemen, the Politico story today. I got an e-mail last night from the writer of the story, Jonathan Martin, who did not tell me the full details of what the story they were working on was. He did not tell me that they have discovered that there is a team inside the White House targeting me and that they've been doing this since last fall, when they went out and did some polling data and found out I've got very high negatives among certain groups. So they thought, "Well, this is the guy to demonize! Since Bush is leaving, we need somebody," and so this is being led from the White House. There is an orchestrated attack, daily drumbeat on me from the White House. The participants here are James Carville, Paul Begala and Rahm Emanuel. But make no mistake about it. Emanuel is the leader of all of this. Carville and Begala are just trying to ride my fame into their fortune and become relevant again. Begala and Carville, don't confuse them with the power brokers that are managing this. It all Emanuel. Begala and Carville are second-rate talking heads on CNN. CNN has no audience. Rahm Emanuel is the power behind the throne -- and don't let his effeminate nature and his ballerina past mislead you on this. He may look effeminate (he was a ballerina at one time) but he has the feral instincts of a female rat defending its young. Well, take a look. When Emanuel and Carville and Begala are together (and I've seen pictures) it looks like a reunion of the Village People. (singing) Y! M! C! A! They are really the official greeters in Roswell, New Mexico, in Area 51 where Carville was born. My point here is that these are really odious, empty, nasty people who are feasting on their own arrogance. They are power hungry. But, you know what? They've never had a serious debate over ideas. Their goal is to destroy opponents, which is what they're trying to do now. They don't want to engage opponents. Their idea of victory is the destruction of the opponent. They're not for a level playing field. They want to clear the playing field so that their ideas do not have to undergo any scrutiny. So what do they do? They leak stories to The Politico intended to create impressions about their own importance and their brilliance, when in fact they aren't even bit players on the nation's stage. This is Emanuel, and this is Obama. But I have an idea. If these guys are so impressed with themselves, and if they are so sure of their correctness, why doesn't President Obama come on my show? We will do a one-on-one debate of ideas and policies. Now, his people in this Politico story, it's on the record. They're claiming they wanted me all along. They wanted me to be the focus of attention. So let's have the debate! I am offering President Obama to come on this program -- without staffers, without a teleprompter, without note cards -- to debate me on the issues. Let's talk about free markets versus government control. Let's talk about nationalizing health care and raising taxes on small business. Let's talk about the New Deal versus Reaganomics. Let's talk about closing Guantanamo Bay, and let's talk about sending $900 million to Hamas. Let's talk about illegal immigration and the lawlessness on the borders. Let's talk about massive deficits and the destroying of opportunities of future generations. Let's talk about ACORN, community agitators, and the unions that represent the government employees which pour millions of dollars into your campaign, President Obama. Let's talk about your elimination of school choice for minority students in the District of Columbia. Let's talk about your efforts to further reduce domestic drilling and refining of oil. Let's talk about your stock market. By the way, Mr. President, I want to help. Yesterday you said you looked at the stock market as no different than a tracking poll that goes up and down. There's no "up and down" here. We have a plunge. The president yesterday suggested "we're getting to the point where profits and earnings ratios are approaching that point where you want to invest." Uh, Mr. President? There is no "profits and earnings" ratio. It's "price and earnings" ratio. He's the president of the United States. He doesn't know anything about the stock market. He's admitted it before. Let's talk about it anyway. You want to maintain it's a tracking poll? I'd love to talk to you about that. Let's talk about all of these things, Mr. President. Let's go ahead and have a debate on this show. No limits. Now that your handlers are praising themselves for promoting me as the head of a political party -- they think that's a great thing -- then it should be a no-brainer for you to further advance this strategy by debating me on the issues and on the merits, and wipe me out once and for all! Just come on this program. Let's have a little debate. You tell me how wrong I am and you can convince the rest of the Americans that don't agree with you how wrong we all are. You're a smart guy, Mr. President. You don't need these hacks to front for you. You've debated the best! You've debated Hillary Clinton. You've debated John Edwards. You've debated Joe Biden. You've debated Dennis Kucinich. You've debated the best out there. You are one of the most gifted public speakers of our age. I would think, Mr. President, you would jump at this opportunity. Don't send lightweights like Begala and Carville to do your bidding -- and forget about the ballerina, Emanuel. He's got things to do in his office. These people, compared to you, Mr. President, are rhetorical chum. I would rather have an intelligent, open discussion with you where you lay out your philosophy and policies and I lay out mine -- and we can question each other, in a real debate. Any time here at the EIB Network studios. If you're too busy partying or flying around giving speeches and so forth, then send Vice President Biden. I'm sure he would be very capable of articulating your vision for America -- and if he won't work, send Geithner, and we can talk about the tax code. And if that won't work, go get Bob Rubin. I don't care. Send whoever you want if you can't make it. You don't need to be leaking stories to Politico like this thing that's published today. You don't need to have your allies writing op-eds and all the rest. If you can win at this, then come here and beat me at my own game, and get rid of me once and for all, and show all the people of America that I am wrong.
In fact, Mr. President, you know what, I know these are tough economic times, and you're trying to convince people that you're "saving" the taxpayers money, that you're cutting spending, that you're cutting the deficit. In that vein, I, Mr. President, will send my jet, EIB One, to pick you up and bring you here and take you back to wherever you want to go. You'd love it. It's not as big and luxurious as your jet, but it's got enough seats for your Secret Service detail. But it is something to behold. I'm very proud of it, Mr. President. I worked for it. I paid for it. Taxpayers pay you for your travel. Nobody pays me for mine. I pay for it. I pay for the airplane. I pay for the travel. I pay for practically everything I do. We can talk about that, too. I could tell you what that's like. And once you land, by the way, I have a fleet of SUVs because I have guests here all the time. I have four or five SUVs. I can send a caravan to pick you up. I'll even put you up at The Breakers. It's a five-star resort. I'll do it all on my dime. We don't want the taxpayers footing any of the bill for this -- and my jet burns a lot less fuel than your two and your C-130 to bring your limousine and SUV caravan here. In fact, you know what, Mr. President? I'll tell you what I will do, if you will do this. I will promise to order some Wagyu Kobe beef at $100 a pound, just like you serve at your cocktail parties and your Super Bowl parties. I'll get it from Allen Brothers in Chicago, since you like that. I know you like $100-per-pound beef. You serve it at the White House. But I'll cover the cost. I will cover the cost, Mr. President, so that the taxpayers do not have to pay for it, as they did your Super Bowl party, and as they do your Wednesday afternoon cocktail party. So you have no excuses. Your flunkies are demanding this debate. Your flunkies are targeting a private citizen with an enemies list that so far has three or four names on it: Mine; Rick Santelli; Jim Cramer at CNBC; and let's not forget Joe the Plumber, who your allies in Ohio also tried to destroy. The difference is that Joe the Plumber does not have his own microphone every day. They're shutting Santelli up at CNBC. They're going to shut Cramer up pretty soon, too, but he'll go down with a fight. That isn't going to happen here, to me. I'm calling. I'm ready. I'll do everything I can to facilitate it. You're a very courageous man, Mr. President. I am, after all, just The Last Man Standing. If you take me out, if you can wipe me out in a debate and prove to the rest of America that what I say is senseless and wrong, do you realize you will own the United States of America? You will have no opposition. You have America's media in your back pocket. It's amazing. In 1972, Richard Nixon had an enemies list, and the media was outraged by this. They were outraged. At the same time, those who weren't on it were a little jealous. But they were outraged that a president would engage in this kind of behavior toward the media. Now they go after a private citizen. Rahm Emanuel is leading the team going after a private citizen, and the Drive-By Media applaud, get on board and help further the mission. We live in different times. So if you can wipe me out -- and, by the way, Mr. President, and Mr. Emanuel: Don't make the mistake of assuming I'm wiping myself out here in the process. I want to thank you guys for elevating me beyond the stature I already earned and achieved, because now more and more Americans have the opportunity to learn who you really are, what your ideas will really accomplish, and what damage and harm I think your policies will bring for a very, very long time to them and to this country. So I want to thank you for the opportunity. Obviously, it's a threat targeting me. I've extended the invitation. I'm looking forward to hearing back from whoever in your cabal one way or the other on accepting my offer.

Every American Is Now a Criminal !

You think you are a law abiding citizen, don’t you? Think again! You have been, you are now, and you will continue to break the law for the rest of your life, because there are too many laws, with millions more laws to follow. Many of these laws are totally unconstitutional but have never been challenged in the courts. Sometimes you break the law without any knowledge of it, even though ignorance of the law is not an excuse, if you are caught. But worse, millions are breaking the law because they are convinced the laws are illegal, or just plain stupid. With more people intentionally breaking the law, eventually the rule of law breaks down, as does our Republic.

The examples of stupid laws would fill volumes. Examples of conflicting laws would fill even more volumes. Some (or is it most) lawmakers just aren’t very smart.

Since the final draft of the U. S. Constitution became the Supreme Law of the Land, legislators have been legislating, that is they have been passing law ..... after law ..... after law. Do you want to know why you are a criminal? Here is why. “The U.S. Code, which contains all federal statutes, occupies 56,009 single-spaced pages. Its 47 volumes take up nine feet of shelf space. An annotated version, which attempts to bring order out of chaos, is three feet long and has 230 hardcover volumes and 36 paperback supplements. Administrative lawmaking under statutes fill up the 207-volume Code of Federal Regulations, which spans 21 feet of shelf space and contains more than 134,488 pages of regulatory law. … Federal law is further augmented by more than 2,756 volumes of judicial precedent, taking up 160 yards (almost twice as long as a football field) of law-library shelving.”

This is just federal law and it is growing by the second. All of this law does not include the millions of state, county and city laws that have been passed since we won our freedom in our first revolution. State and local laws are also growing by the second. The Obama/Pelosi/Reid Stimulus package was over 1,000 pages of more law that no one read and it included more taxes and much more socialism. More so-called “stimulus” packages are on the way, requiring trillions more of our dollars that the government doesn’t own and must “steal” from us, by force, to “fix” the problem that they themselves created.

Too many laws create competing special interests who lobby the system to entrench their own little worlds, while the un-represented (that’s millions of Americans) are left out in the cold. We have become a government of cronies, in a world run by cronyism, in an atmosphere of corruption, Hell bent on driving America and Americans into unabashed socialism and the one-world-order.

Too many laws create victims who inadvertently violate one or more laws and spend their life’s savings trying to defend themselves against an intransigent, all-powerful and abusive government. Too many laws lead to powerful, entitled special interests and the innocent victims are left with no political power at all.

Interestingly, America contains an almost ghostly, silent majority .... mostly silent and heard from rarely, but it does exist. Most of this group are trying to live out their lives as best they can, earn a living and raise their children in a country they thought was the land of the free. You know, a government they could trust, a government that protects the unalienable, individual rights as granted to us by our creator and codified into law by our constitution, and a government that operates within the enumerated powers allowed them by that very same constitution.

Unfortunately, in the silent majority’s silence, their government, without the silent majority’s consent, assumed powers that far exceeded their constitutional powers. They passed laws to pander to (or buy off) special interest groups, or to increase their political powers and then levied ever-increasing taxes to pay for it all. Even as the regulations rose exponentially and as taxes became more burdensome, the silent majority, to their discredit, still remained silent. Their silence, their apathy and their disinterest in what government has been and is doing, has unknowingly turned each and everyone of them into criminals ..... law breakers, who can be subject to fines and imprisonment for violating laws they know nothing about.

America was founded on the principles of a Constitutional Republic. That is, a system of government by the rule of law, with the Constitution as the foundation of all law. What the Founders failed to realize, or maybe they did but didn’t account for it, was that lawmakers have but one goal in life, that is the passing of laws. The lawmakers very rarely consider repealing laws, or remove conflicting laws, upon which clever attorneys can twist to fit a particular case, which they do all too often. The net result is we have become enslaved by the passage of too many laws and we became unintentional law breakers of those laws ..... thus perpetual criminals whom have yet to be caught.

As the silent majority watches our government use our tax money and our children’s tax money to increase their pandering and buying off of special interest groups, as government pours our hard-earned money into banks and businesses, as they prop up people who have acted irresponsibly with more of our money that we earned responsibly, they are increasing their power over us and increasing the laws that control us ..... laws eliminating our individual rights, gun rights, property rights, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the sovereignty of states and the people under the 9th and 10th Amendments and equal protection under the law contained in the 14th Amendment. The 5th Amendment is all but null and void through the passing of draconian environmental regulation, along with government abuse of eminent domain.

However, the days of the silent majority being silent, must be over. Once we realize that, if the silent majority suddenly united as one in defiance of more laws and more of our money and our children’s money being stolen by the government, at the point of a gun, (just try not paying your taxes, even though Senator Harry Reid thinks our tax system is voluntary) to buy off banks, businesses and irresponsible individuals, we could turn America around in months. If the Consent of the Governed, that Silent Majority, "esplained" it to government to get out of the way, our economy would improve naturally, in a shorter period of time, based on sound economic and capitalistic principles, not government manipulated insanity.

So how does the American silent majority unite as one? It rallies around one simple idea or symbol and uses that idea or symbol as the rallying cry for freedom and liberty and the reduction of government power. In the coming weeks we will be releasing just such an idea, a symbol and some simple principles, around which the American Silent Majority can rally!

No, the war is hardly lost, it is just getting interesting, as more Americans of the silent majority, wake up to what their government has perpetrated upon them, over the last 80 to 100 years. They grow weary of too many laws that make them unintended criminals and angry with a government, at all levels, that has become helplessly and hopelessly out of control. It is way past time for the Silent Majority to cease being silent and return control to where it belongs ..... to the Consent of the Governed.

Barack Hussein Obama is ready to "RULE" on day one ?

OBAMA READY TO "RULE" ON DAY ONE ? Last time I checked we were still a republic and you govern, not rule. Did we elect a King or a President ? I though we voted for a PRESIDENT ?

Obama Spokesman Says 'Obama Ready to RULE on Day 1'

The co-chair of Barack Obama's Transition Team, Valerie Jarrett, appeared on Meet the Press this weekend and used, shall we say, an interesting word to described what she thinks Barack Obama will be doing in January when he's officially sworn into office. She told Tom Brokaw that Obama will be ready to "rule" on day one. It's a word that reflects the worst fears that people have for Obama the "arrogant," the "messiah," that imagines he's here to "rule" instead of govern.
Jarret told Brokaw that "given the daunting challenges that we face, it's important that president elect Obama is prepared to really take power and begin to rule day one."

Someone needs to get to Jarrett and inform her that American politicians are not Kings and do not "rule" from office. But if this is the attitude of Obama's transition team, what does The One himself imagine he is about to unleash? Could the fears that Obama thinks he is being anointed America's King be far off with this sort of talk flying about?

DAVID LETTERMAN TALKS ABOUT UNGRATEFUL SPOILED AMERICANS

I caught this post on another blog today.
It really made you stop and think about Americans attitudes.

You Clowns will Pray Bush was still in Power.
Posted by: Porkchop November 06, 2008 at 02:07 PM

David Letterman wrote this; it's the David we don't often see....

'As most of you know I am not a President Bush fan, nor have I ever been, but this is not about Bush, it is about us, as Americans, and it seems to hit the mark.'
'The other day I was reading Newsweek magazine and came across some Poll data I found rather hard to believe. It must be true given the source, right?
The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the President.. In essence 2/3 of the citizenry just ain't happy and want a change. So being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, 'What are we so unhappy about?'

A. Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 Days a week?

B. Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter?
C. Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job?

D. Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?

E. Maybe it is the ability to drive our cars and trucks from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state.
F. Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?

G. I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough either.

H. Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.

I. Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home.
J. You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames thus saving you, your family, and your belongings.

K. Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes, an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss.

L. This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where 90% of teenagers own cell phones and computers.

M. How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world?

Maybe that is what has 67% of you folks unhappy.

Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S. , yet has a great disdain for its citizens. They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have, and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.

I know, I know. What about the president who took us into war and has no plan to get us out? The president who has a measly 31 percent approval rating? Is this the same president who guided the nation in the dark days after 9/11? The president that cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession? Could this be the same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful brats safe from terrorist attacks? The commander in chief of an all-volunteer army that is out there defending you and me?
Did you hear how bad the President is on the news or talk show? Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn't take a look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad? Think about it......are you upset at the President because he actually caused you personal pain OR is it because the 'Media' told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful behind every day.
Make no mistake about it. The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, and in many cases may have died for your freedom. There is currently no draft in this country. They didn't have to go. They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a ''general'' discharge, an 'other than honorable'' discharge or, worst case scenario, a ''dishonorable' discharge after a few days in
the brig.

So why then the flat-out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent of Americans?

Say what you want, but I blame it on the media. If it bleeds it leads and they specialize in bad news. Everybody will watch a car crash with blood and guts. How many will watch kids selling lemonade at the corner? The media knows this and media outlets are for-profit corporations. They offer what sells, and when criticized, try to defend their actions by 'justifying' them in one way or another. Just ask why they tried to allow a murderer like O.J. Simpson to write a book about how he didn't kill his wife, but if he did he would have done it
this way......Insane!

Turn off the TV, burn Newsweek, and use the New
York Times for the bottom of your bird cage. Then start being grateful for all we have as a country. There is exponentially more good than bad. We are among the most blessed people on Earth and should thank God several times a day, or at least be thankful and appreciative.' 'With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, 'Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?'
-David Letterman

Please keep this in circulation. There are so many people who need to read this and grasp the truth of it all.

Get ready for Terroist ATTACKS if Obama becomes president ?

Will America be ready if there is another terrorist attack on our soil ?
Iran Vows Terrorist Attacks inside U.S.
Iran declared itself a terrorist state today and threatened suicide attacks against targets in the U.S.
Referring to the US army's attacks in Pakistan and Syria, Larijani said they would not be answered with diplomatic protests.
"The US method and conduct, expressed by this aggression, will only be stopped by a clear-cut and unexpected response, whose grounds were set by the martyr Hussein Fahmida," Larijani said during a parliamentary session on Wednesday.
[...]
"America should be aware not to put its huge body on top of the suicide bombers' explosive devices," Larijani said.
On the same day, Khamanai said the differences between Iran and the US were far beyond differences of opinion.
"The Iranian people hate the US… [because of] the various plots the US government has hatched against Iran and the Iranian nation for the past five decades," Khamanai said.
These are the people that Barack Obama wants to meet without any conditions. The same people that have been killing and terrorizing Americans for more than twenty-five years. It's also worth noting that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard would already be on the list of terrorist organizations if Obama and his surrender-minded Liberal buddies hadn't voted against the Kyl-Lieberman bill last year.
Joe Biden was right. Our enemies see the weakness in Barack Obama and the Democrats and they will test us in the very near future. Mr. Zero Foreign Policy Experience will then negotiate from a position of weakness, Iran will have nukes and America's enemies will rejoice and hit us even harder.
If you think electing Obama will end the war against Islamic Fundamentalism, you're a complete buffoon who should stay home on Tuesday.

GOOD VS. EVIL IN THE WORLD TODAY~GOD BLESS AMERICA !

EVERYONE TODAY IS LIVING IN THIS EVER SO DANGEROUS WORLD. NO ONE IS SAFE ANYMORE NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE. THERE IS NO ONE ANSWER TO MAKE THINGS BETTER IN THIS SAD WORLD IN WHICH WE ALL LIVE. THERE IS SIMPLY TOO MUCH EVIL AMONG US ON THIS PLANET. IT IS NOT THE FAULT ONE ANY PERSON. IT STARTED HUNDRED OF YEARS AGO AND IT WILL CONTINUE TILL THE WORLD IS NO MORE. GOD, THE CREATOR OF US ALL WHETHER YOU BELIEVE THAT OR NOT IS VERY SAD IN WHAT HE SEES GOING ON HERE ON THIS PLANET THAT HE CREATED FOR US. MY ONLY SUGGESTION TO ANYONE IS TO GET RIGHT WITH GOD. THE GOD OF LOVE !
READ THE BIBLE. BE READY WHEN ITS TIME FOR YOU TO GO. SAY A PRAYER EVERYDAY FOR "GOOD" TO OVERCOME EVIL.

Peace vs. Chaos
We have heard many times that history repeats itself. If that is true, we can be sure of one thing in the future, and that is this: We cannot be sure of anything that depends on the promises of mankind.

A Message by Billy Graham

The nations of the world have signed many peace treaties, but most treaties are eventually broken by one contracting party or the other.

During the French and Indian war the United States loved the British and hated the French. Less than one generation later we were hating the British and loving the French.

In 1904 when Russia was fighting Japan, the Americans took sides with the Japanese. In 1941 Japan was an enemy that had to be destroyed. Now Japan is our close ally in the Far East.

We live in a topsy-turvy world where there is so much confusion. The average person on the street is more bewildered today than at any time in history. The events of the past few years are a shining example of the utter depravity of the human heart. The props have been knocked out from under the idealists who said that all people are brothers and sisters and the world is getting better and better. You don’t hear that kind of talk much these days.

Behind all the confusion in the world today is the plan and program of Satan. The Book of Revelation tells us that Satan is the great deceiver, and his main business in this age is to deceive the nations of the world.

There Is an Answer

As you read your newspapers, watch television or listen to the radio, remember this one thing—the only reasonable explanation of the awful conditions that face us today is the answer given in the ancient book we call the Bible. In it you will find the answer to the multitudes of problems you face every day.

This world is sick. It is filled with anger, anguish, brutality, crime and doubt. Despair and death stalk every country. Sorrow, suffering and sin abound. War and wickedness have made our generation wild. Tragedy and sorrow are on every hand.

I wish you could read some of the hundreds of letters that come to us weekly from people who hear us on radio, television or through our other ministries. Alcoholics, drug addicts, prostitutes, gambling addicts, hundreds crushed by sorrow or broken homes—people of every walk of life burdened with a thousand problems—all asking for an answer to their particular problem.

Over and over again I am asked the question, “What is the world coming to?”

The Bible teaches that this world is coming to a crisis, and just beyond that crisis is judgment. But thanks be unto God, our God has never faced a crisis! Nothing has ever taken God by surprise. God has never come to a time of panic. He has always followed a perfect program. Satan has never frustrated God’s plans nor hindered His cause in the course of all ages. Our God is sovereign and in Him is all sufficiency. This is our message. This is the rainbow of hope that I give to you today.

Unsolved Problems

The troubles we face are not new. They may come upon us in a new way, but basically and fundamentally we are facing the same temptations, the same troubles, the same trials that have always confronted mankind. Since the Garden of Eden, men and women have been plagued with three problems. These problems deal with the past, the present and the future of every individual.

The unsolved problems of the human race are depravity, disease and death. Depravity has filled our jails. Disease fills our hospitals. Death fills our cemeteries. Because of our depraved sinful nature, we are filled with hate, greed and jealousy. The curse of sin is upon our bodies, and we are forever haunted by the fear of death. With all of our inventive genius, we have been able to change everything but ourselves.

We all know how the world has radically changed. Technology, fashions, languages, customs, morals, values, social conditions and a thousand other changes have taken place in the last few years. But with all of our progress, mankind has not solved the basic problems of the human race. These problems have not changed. They have plagued humanity throughout its history and are continuing to do so this very moment.

Unchanged Enemies

Sin has not changed. Men and women endeavor to change its name. We’ve put new labels on the bottle of poison. We’ve tried to whitewash the old barn. We’ve tried to clean up the depraved human nature, but sin has not changed. We have put new names on present-day evils and have sought to salve our conscience. But sin is the same. We are still sinners and the results of sin are still disease, disappointment, despair, disillusionment and hell.

Sorrow has not changed. Sorrow is the universal language of the world today. The greatest tragedies are rarely those on the front pages of our newspapers. They are the personal, crushing sorrows that come to individuals. We all know something about tears, sorrow and suffering. Job said, “Man is born to trouble, As the sparks fly upward” (Job 5:7, NKJV).

Death has not changed. We have tried to change its appearance. We place bodies in “caskets” rather than “coffins.” We try to dress up the funeral. But regardless of what we may call death or how we may dress it, death is real, hard, cruel, and it has not changed.

Our past is filled with sin; our present is overrun with sorrow; and the certainty of death faces us in the future. It all seems rather hopeless when we begin to think about it. We have psychiatrists, philosophers and new religions by the score, but there seems to be no answer.

The Rainbow of Hope

However, let me put a rainbow of hope in your heart. Jesus Christ can meet and solve these basic problems of your life. Hebrews 13:8 reads, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (NKJV).

Yesterday, the past, when Christ was on earth—He made atonement, He forgave and covered your sin. Today, now, in heaven—He is an advocate, representing before God those who place their trust in Him. He is right now willing to solve your problems, lift your burdens, wipe your tears away, and bring joy, peace and satisfaction such as you have never known. Tomorrow, in the future—He will return to be King of kings and Lord of lords.

Other things may change, but Christ will never change. We are living in an age of grace in which God promises that whosoever will may come and receive His Son.

However, I warn you that God’s kindness to us will not continue much longer. We are already living on borrowed time. Peter, preaching on the day of Pentecost, predicted the next event in God’s dealing with mankind would be the judgment of God. When this age of grace ends, the judgment of God will strike.

But today I can point you to an unchanging Christ who can forgive your past sin, lift your present burdens and give you hope for the future. He will take your sins and bury them in the depth of the sea.

Come to the Unchanging Christ!

You can cast all your care upon Christ for He cares for you. Concerning the future, He promises: “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, NKJV).

I beg you to commit your past, your present and your future to Christ. What you have done in the past can be erased by the Lord Jesus Christ. As Savior, He can settle your sin problem. As the Shepherd, He can meet your every need, lift every burden, solve every problem. As the coming sovereign King, He can give you hope.

Let Him deliver you from the perils of the present trouble. Let Him deliver you from the fear of the future.

Turn to Christ today!

Peace with God

Q: I suppose you'd say that every sin is wrong, but aren't some a lot worse than others? A friend and I were talking the other day and we got to debating what is the absolutely worst sin a person could commit, but we never did come to any conclusion. — V.L.

A: Dear V.L.,
Yes, in God's eyes all sin is wrong, because all sin is a violation of God's will. As someone has said, whenever we sin, we are shaking our fists in the face of God.

From a human standpoint, however, some sins are certainly worse than others, because of the harm they do. This is why under the Old Testament law some sins (like murder or stealing) were judged more severely than other sins.

At the same time, the Bible doesn't spotlight one sin as being the worst in God's eyes. God is absolutely pure and holy, and even the littlest sin is still evil in His sight. The Bible says, "To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech" (Proverbs 8:13). The Bible also says, "'Do not plot evil against your neighbor, and do not love to swear falsely. I hate all this,' declares the Lord" (Zechariah 8:17).

The Bible does, however, say that one sin—and only one—is unforgivable. That is the sin of turning away from God and refusing the forgiveness and salvation He offers us in Jesus Christ. But God loves us and He wants to forgive us and welcome us into His family forever. Have you accepted the gift of salvation He offers us in His Son, Jesus Christ?

A PRAYER FOR YOUTH
