TIM GEITHNER WILL ATTEND BILDERBERG GROUP TO MEET THIS WEEK~MAY14-16, 2009 IN GREECE

Geithner To Take Orders From Global Elite At Bilderberg , His schedule is mysteriously empty these next few days. HMMMM !

World Bank President Robert Zoellick, who recently called for global government, will also take his place at elitist confab

Thursday, May 14, 2009

According to a London Times report, U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner will probably be in attendance at this week’s Bilderberg Group meeting, as top globalists meet to plot the financial future of the planet behind closed doors.

The Times article notes that “US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner’s public schedule is mysteriously empty for the next two days,” speculating that he will be in Vouliagmeni, Greece for the annual elitist confab, following in the footsteps of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, who attended last year’s conference in Washington DC just months before the collapse of Lehman Brothers and the start of the economic crisis.

Geithner, who has overseen Obama’s bailout agenda since taking over from Hank Paulson, is the perfect stooge to implement the global financial regulatory systems that elitists have called for in the aftermath of the financial downturn.

Back in March, Geithner publicly stated that there were no plans to move towards a global currency to supplant the dollar, and yet at a private CFR meeting he assured his fellow globalists that he was “open” to the notion of a new global currency system.

Geithner’s presence at Bilderberg is noteworthy, not only because Bernanke attended immediately before the economic crisis last year, but also because Bilderberg’s agenda for 2009 is heavily weighted towards the financial crisis. According to a pre-meeting booklet handed out to members that was leaked to investigative journalist Daniel Estulin, “Bilderberg is divided on whether to put into motion, “Either a prolonged, agonizing depression that dooms the world to decades of stagnation, decline and poverty … or an intense-but-shorter depression that paves the way for a new sustainable economic world order, with less sovereignty but more efficiency.”

The Times also reports that World Bank President Robert Zoellick, “Will be in Athens on unspecified business on May 14,” meaning it’s almost certain that he too will attend Bilderberg, as numerous past World Bank chiefs have done in previous years.

During a speech which preceded this year’s G8 summit, Zoellick openly admitted Bilderberg’s plan to eliminate national sovereignty and impose a global government via the imposition of worldwide financial regulatory powers.

Speaking about the agenda to increase not just funding but power for international organizations on the back of the financial crisis, Zoellick stated, “If leaders are serious about creating new global responsibilities or governance, let them start by modernising multilateralism to empower the WTO, the IMF, and the World Bank Group to monitor national policies.”

“To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair,” top Bilderberg member Lord Healey once told author Jon Ronson, adding that Bilderberg members thought “A single community throughout the world would be a good thing.”

As we have previously highlighted, the European Union was a creation of Bilderberg founding members, aided by top Nazi economists such as Hermann Abs, Hitler’s top banker and a man described by Bilderberg luminary David Rockefeller as “the greatest banker of the 20th century”.

In addition to Geithner’s probable attendance, US Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg is using the pretext of an obscure meeting with Greek officials, the first time a member of the Obama administration has done so, to take his place at Bilderberg.

According to Greek newspaper Kathimerini, “Steinberg will be in Athens for a meeting of the international invitation-only club, the Bilderberg Group, which begins today MAY 14, and runs until Saturday, MAY 16, 2009.”

Whether Lucifer will be down there on the sun-loungers remains to be seen. But what we have been able to establish from a World Bank spokesman, Alexis O’Brien, is that the organisation’s president, Robert Zoellick, will be in Athens on unspecified business on May 14. And that US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner’s public schedule is mysteriously empty for the next two days. Jo Ackermann, head of Deutsche Bank, will be travelling “somewhere in Europe”. Jean-Claude Trichet, head of the European Central Bank, will not be around until the end of the week.

You get the drift. Something is going on. If only somebody would let us in on the secret.

Meet the men (and women) behind the curtain: Bilderberg
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Also a massive violation of the Logan Act, since top American elected politicians always attend. You can bet Bernanke is there; McCain and Obama were at last year's conference. So was Hillary. These are the people who rule America and the world. They created the EU and they are behind the North American Union.
Don’t tell anyone, don’t breathe a word, but the world’s most powerful men are meeting secretly again to save the planet from economic catastrophe. Oh, and their address, should you want to send them your opinions, is: c/o Nafsika Astir Palace Hotel, Apollonos Avenue 40, 16671 Vouliagmeni, Greece.

Bed space is a bit tight there for the next two days while the Bilderberg illuminati hold their private conclave in the five-star Greek hotel. Every year since 1954 a club of about 130 senior or up-and-coming politicians gather at the fireside of a secluded hotel with top bankers and a sprinkling of royalty to discuss burning issues, to trade confidences and just stay abreast of the I-know-something-you-don’t-know circuit. No lists of participants are disclosed, no press conferences are held; spill the beans and you’re out of the magic circle.

For those of us standing outside the locked gates all that is left is to hope that they will sleep well, avoid jet ski injury and solve our problems for us. For the Bilderbergers it is a little like that recent MI5 recruitment ad: “See all your best work go unnoticed!”

Each country delegates two people to the steering committee that is the intellectual hub of Bilderberg. In the past Kenneth Clarke, the Shadow Business Secretary, and Martin Taylor, formerly head of Barclays Bank, have had their hand on the British tiller.

This year the club is going to talk about depression. “According to the pre-meeting booklet sent out to attendees, Bilderberg is looking at two options,” says the Bilderberg-watcher Daniel Estulin — “either a prolonged, agonising depression that dooms the world to decades of stagnation, decline and poverty — or an intense but shorter depression that paves the way for a new sustainable economic world order, with less sovereignty but more efficiency.”

Since Bilderberg does not officially exist, it cannot deny anything and is therefore manna from heaven for the conspiracy theorist. Eurosceptics are convinced that the future development of the European Union was plotted here — EU commissioners have always been welcomed into the coven, with Peter “We are intensely relaxed about people getting filthy rich” Mandelson a particular favourite. Margaret Thatcher, it is said, was a shy debutante at a Bilderberg meeting in 1975.

Jim Tucker, veteran stalker of the Bilderberg club meetings, claims that Mrs Thatcher was ordered “to dismantle British sovereignty, but she said, ‘no way’, so they had her sacked”. Left-wing conspiracy theorists believe that Bilderbergers form a capitalist nucleus, and there is a germ of truth in this. The meetings were started in the Netherlands, in the Hotel de Bilderberg, near Arnhem, by the Polish exile Joseph Retinger. He was worried about growing anti-Americanism and the advance of Communism in Western Europe. Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands agreed to sponsor the idea, the head of the Central Intelligence Agency, Walter Bedell Smith, threw his weight behind it and so did the White House.

The Bilderberg consensus is that national problems are best solved by an internationally oriented elite, that a global network of decision-makers should have a common language and that the boundaries are fluid between the monied and the political classes.
And so there has been a natural bias towards inviting conservatives and market liberals. The only socialists invited are those who “understand money”.

Ed Balls has taken part and the most indiscreet Bilderberger of all time was Denis Healey, the former Labour Chancellor and fierce Atlanticist.

“To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair,” Lord Healey told the author Jon Ronson for his book Them: Adventures with Extremists. “Those of us in Bilderberg felt we couldn’t go on for ever fighting one another for nothing. So we felt that a single community throughout the world would be a good thing."

Another way of viewing the club is that of Metropolitan Seraphim, the bishop of Piraeus, who said that the Bilderbergers represented a “criminal cabal of world Zionism and its efforts to set up a cruel world dictatorship under the headship of Lucifer”. This line is quite common on the blogosphere, where the club’s secrecy is taken as evidence of evil intentions.

Bilderberg Group Meets In Athens Amid Tight Security

ATHENS (AFP)--Some of the world's top business and political leaders started annual secret talks with the Bilderberg group Thursday in a suburb of Athens, under tight security control.

The surroundings of the Astir Palace, a luxury hotel in the suburban resort of Vouliagmeni, where the group is holding its annual meeting, were protected by dozens of policemen, who were keeping the press and public at bay, an AFP journalist said.

A Greek navy launch and boats carrying elite divers could be seen a few meters off the coast of the peninsula where the hotel stands. Greek newspapers said the group had also asked for the protection of two F-16 warplanes and a police helicopter.

Reports say U.S. State Department number two James Steinberg, U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, World Bank President Robert Zoellick, European Commission head Jose Manuel Barroso, Queen Sofia of Spain and Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands are among those attending the Bilderberg meeting.

The group, which has been holding annual off-the record talks open to guests only since 1954, feeds conspiracy theories and speculation about its intentions, with critics accusing it of plotting world domination.

Several sources say Polish political adviser Joseph Retinger, former Belgian prime minister Paul van Zeeland and former Unilever chief executive Paul Rijkens organized the first meeting at the Hotel Bilderberg in the Netherlands to unite European and U.S. elites amid growing transatlantic tensions a half-century ago.

Its success spawned similar talks at posh hotels and palaces in Europe, the U.S. and Canada each year since

Google CEO In Attendance At Bilderberg 2009?

Progenitor of “don’t be evil” slogan apparently doesn’t think it’s evil to take orders from a shadowy undemocratic power elite meeting in secret to plot the future of the world around their own self-serving interests

One notable attendee at last year’s Bilderberg Group meeting amidst the gaggle of old industrialists, bankers and aspiring globalist politicians was Google CEO Eric Schmidt, one of the progenitors of the company’s slogan “Don’t Be Evil”.

Apparently, Schmidt doesn’t consider it evil to take his orders from the most undemocratic, crony and secretive organization on the planet.

Whether Schmidt makes his way to the 2009 elitist gathering at the Nafsika Astir Palace in Vouliagmeni Greece remains to be seen, but a Google representative is likely to take his place if Schmidt can’t make it.

As noted by a Haaretz report today, Schmidt took his place at last year’s Washington DC confab alongside people like Henry Kissinger, Condoleezza Rice and World Bank President Robert Zoellick.

In one of the more balanced reports concerning the meeting so far, the Haaretz article states, “Mainstream press coverage of the Bilderberg meeting has grown, largely due to the internet. This year’s conference may have been covered by British broadsheets, but don’t expect to see any coverage from U.S. news outlets such as The Wall Street Journal or the Washington Post - they will most likely be at the conference.”

No corporate U.S. news outlet has dared report on Bilderberg 2009 thus far. After all, over a hundred global powerbrokers, including the titans of government, industry, banking and the media, meeting in secret behind closed doors to plan the fate of the world really has no importance whatsoever in comparison with finding out “who got axed from American Idol,” - does it?

Bilderberg development, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner favors a New World Government currency

This man is a scarry looking man. Every time I see him he looks like he has implants. Is he an Alien. He may not be human. He coudl be an experiment. Hmmmm. We have a space alien running our econoony me now ? LOL . All his veins are poped out on his head and such. I don't think this man is quite right.

Borderless World the Long-held Dream of Bilderberg Group

By James P. Tucker, Jr.

Bilderberg will continue to push for world government at the May 14-19 secret meeting in Vouliagmeni, Greece, according to a participant. Alice Rivlin, who has represented the Brookings Institution at Bilderberg, smiled and nodded when asked if the agenda this year includes “world government, a world without borders and an American Union.”

These have been Bilderberg goals for many years but have been blocked by what participants refer to sneeringly as “nationalism.” Bilderberg intends to expand the North American Free Trade Agreement throughout the Western Hemisphere as a prelude to establishing an “American Union” similar to the European Union. The ultimate goal is a world government under the UN. Her greatest Bilderberg thrill?

“Sitting next to the queen,” she replied, referring to Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands.

In a separate Bilderberg development, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner tripped over his mouth and let the truth escape while addressing the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. The CFR is heavily represented at Bilderberg meetings.

Geithner expressed support for a proposal to replace the dollar as the world’s reserve currency with a basket of currencies that would be managed by the Inter - national Monetary Fund.

“We’re actually quite open to that,” he said. Publicly, both Geithner and President Obama say they are opposed to the idea.

PLUTOCRATS TO MEET IN GREECE

AFP on the trail of Bilderberg group: Site near Athens, Greece, is verified to be scene of 2009 globalist coven

By James P. Tucker, Jr.

Bilderberg will return to its 1993 crime scene when it attempts to meet secretly in Vouliagmeni, Greece, May 14-17. Bilderberg will return to the grounds of Nafsika Astir Palace hotels in Vouliagmeni, 20 miles outside Athens, and meet behind guards at the Westin Nafsika.

High on the Bilderberg agenda will be how to manipulate the global economic crisis for their selfish interests. They will pressure both European and North American nations to pull back from “protectionism” in the later meetings of heads of state. Since the international financiers and high officials of government see themselves as “citizens of the world” and scorn “nationalism,” their only loyalty is bankrolls, not their country. They love free trade, essential for world government.

Thus, they are determined that the United States and other nations refuse to impose tariffs that would equalize competition at the water’s edge. They want to continue shipping U.S. manufacturing jobs overseas where cheap labor may be exploited. They want to continue importing products made by slave labor in China and Africa, underselling domestic products.

Bilderberg, a secret elitist group that meets each spring at posh resorts protected by armed guards, uniformed police, sometimes the host nation’s military plus a brigade of private, plain-clothes guards, tries hard to keep its deliberations secret. But, with help from the European media and with inside sources, their mischief is always revealed to this newspaper.

Bilderberg has a dutiful son in President Barack Obama who will be told to press ahead with the North American Union, which is to be expanded throughout the Western Hemisphere into an “American Union” similar to the European Union. Ultimately, with creation of an “Asian-Pacific Union,” the world is to be divided into three great regions for the administrative convenience of a global government of the UN. Following orders, Obama has a platoon of Bilderberg luminaries in his administration.

But Bilderberg has had problems for years in trying to impose its will on the globe. When meeting in Greece 19 years ago, it was celebrating President Bill Clinton’s promise to sign the Rio Treaty on global warming, which would have surrendered U.S. wealth and sovereignty to international bureaucrats.

Bill Clinton, who attended Bilderberg in 2001 and was elected president in 2002, did sign the Rio Treaty but a test vote in the Senate showed ratification would be overwhelmingly rejected. It is still pending and Bilderberg boys are depressed.

AFP editor James P. Tucker Jr. is a veteran journalist who spent many years as a member of the “elite” media in Washington. Since 1975 he has won widespread recognition, here and abroad, for his pursuit of on-the-scene stories reporting the intrigues of global power blocs such as the Bilderberg Group. Tucker is the author of Jim Tucker’s Bilderberg Diary: One Man’s 25-Year Battle to Shine the Light on the World Shadow Government.

Timothy Geithner is a crook & idiot~HAS NO CLUE

This man is a complete idiot and a crook to boot.

Why Geithner Laid an Egg with his Bank Bailout II
The Washington Post does a post mortem on Treasury Secretary Geithner's disastrous roll out of his bank bail out bill last week and finds there was confusion, lack of coordination, and a political decision not to consult with the companies that were going to be the recipients of the taxpayer's largess because the Administration was afraid they would be criticized for tailoring a package to please the banks:

Public acceptance of the plan suffered from several missteps, said sources involved in the decision-making or in close contact with those who were.

The Obama administration, they said, failed to rein in the grand expectations built for the plan on Wall Street and in Washington, concluding that they would rather disappoint the markets with vagueness than lay out a lot of details they might have to change later -- a failing they saw in the Bush administration's handling of the crisis.

Meanwhile, the sources said, Obama's senior economic advisers were hobbled in crafting the plan by a shortage of personnel. To date, the president has not nominated any assistant secretaries or undersecretaries at the Treasury, and the handful of mid-level staffers who have started work were still finding their offices and getting their building passes and BlackBerrys.

Moreover, the department made a strategic decision to limit input from the financial industry and other outsiders, aiming to prevent leaks and avoid a perception they were designing the plan for the benefit of big banks. But that also meant they were unable to vet their plan with the companies involved or set realistic expectations of what would be announced.

The Post points out that Geithner set an artificial deadline to concentrate the minds of the planners as well as prevent a long, drawn out process that might make the Administration look "indecisive."

Basically for political reasons, Geithner was forced to unveil a plan with few specifics and no guarantee that it will survive further examination by his people.

More evidence - frightening in its implications - that these guys don't have their act together and are more concerned about political atmospherics than coming up with a viable plan to avoid what most economists are saying is a possible meltdown of the financial sector.

TIM GEITHNER THE TAX CHEAT HEADS THE IRS~LMAO

I don't know about you, but this man even "looks" like a CROOK. He is scarry looking. Have you ever seen him smile ? He is so afraid he is going to be caught at all his other criminal activities that he looks terriified. He can now protect himself from further investigations into his on personal taxes. I heard recently that 78,000,000,000.00 cannot be accounted for from the first part of the TARP MONEY. You think maybe he sent it off to a secret bank account. I certainly would not be suprised. PLEASE PEOPLE, WAKE THE HELL UP !
I think we need Jack Bauer (24) on this right away.

We now have a Secretary of the Treasury! The Senate voted in Tim Geithner, despite the New York Fed chief's failure to pay $34,000 in taxes. "An honest mistake," says the White House's top flack. Oh?
Yes, taxes are a pain and everyone hates the paperwork. And paying taxes is absurdly complicated for employees of the International Monetary Fund, where Geithner worked at the time of his tax problems, because the IMF does not withhold payroll taxes but its employees must still pay them. And the IMF pays them an additional allowance so they can make those payments. On which they also owe taxes. That's totally confusing, right? Anyone might screw it up.

But Geithener, who has now paid his past-due tax bill, is not just anyone. We would be completely sympathetic to Geithner's claim that this was a goof because of the IMF's Byzantine payroll-tax status. Except that Geithner, when he worked at the Treasury Department in 1998, testified before Congress to explain the IMF's Byzantine payroll-tax status:

Most countries in the world impose tax on the worldwide income of individuals on a residence, rather than citizenship, basis. Thus, non-U.S. nationals employed by the Fund outside of their home countries generally do not pay home country income tax on their Fund incomes. However, the United States taxes its citizens regardless of where they are resident; U.S. staff of the Fund are taxed by the United States on their Fund income regardless of where they are located. Arrangements have been made to reimburse employees for income taxes paid to their home countries to put them on an equal footing with staff who do not have to pay home country tax. Of IMF tax reimbursements, 99.5% go to U.S. staff. These reimbursements represent a transfer from the IMF to the U.S. Treasury. In the absence of tax reimbursement, the actual after-tax Fund income of U.S. staff would fall well below both the pay of other IMF staff (that is not taxed) and the after-tax pay of employees in the U.S. public and private sectors. In such circumstances, it would be very difficult, if not impossible, for the Fund to recruit or retain well qualified U.S. staff.

Got all that? The main possibilities this leaves:

Geithner did not understand the testimony he was delivering to Congress, and thus was innocent but ignorant.
Geithner understood it at the time, but suffered severe but temporary memory problems when he joined the IMF a few years later.
Geithner knew exactly what he was doing when he cheated on his taxes, and lied about it.

Not that we have a problem with that! The main thing we need in a Treasury Secretary right now is the ability to completely snow Congress with long, complicated explanations. Ones that leave them incapable of screwing around with President Obama's attempt to rescue the economy. Go, Geithner, go!
